1984-85 Canucks


PETRI SKRIKO

Petri was one of the best goal scorers for the Canucks during the 1980s. He had a great international career, representing Finland in the World Junior Championship, World Championship, 1984 Olympics and 1987 Canada Cup. He played for 4 NHL teams.

CAM NEELY

Cam is one of the greatest players ever to wear a Canucks uniform. He played 3 seasons in Vancouver before being traded to Boston where he established himself as one of the top players of his generation. He is one of 3 players who played for the Canucks that is in the Hall of Fame.

Tony is one of the greatest goal scorers ever to wear a Canucks uniform. He had 5 straight seasons with 39 goals or more. He had an amazing junior career with Oshawa, scoring a record 81 goals as a rookie. He was traded to Vancouver from Chicago for Curt Fraser. He played for 4 NHL teams and ended his pro career playing in Germany

STAN SMYL

Stan was the heart and soul of the Canucks for much of the 1980s. He was the first Canuck to have his number officially retired and scored a career high 88 points in 1982-83.

GARY BROMLEY

"Bones" is one of the most popular goalies in franchise history. He is well known for his cool looking mask (not shown). He played for 3 NHL teams. His best season was with Buffalo in 1974-75 when he went 26-11-11 with a 3.10 GAA.

KEVIN McCARTHY


Kevin is one of the best defensemen the Canucks ever had. He later became team captain and represented the Canucks in the 1981 All Star game. His nickname was "Hooter."







LARS LINDGREN

Lars played 6 seasons for the Canucks and played in the 1980 All Star game. He also played for Sweden in the 1981 Canada Cup. He is one of the few Canucks to wear #13 and is now a scout for Vancouver.
